Pounding the Pavement focuses on engaging the community through visible\, service-based projects rather than door-to-door sales or product-driven fundraisers. Built over more than 15 years\, this approach emphasizes showing up\, serving others\, and ensuring your program and students are seen in a positive light. Over time\, the model has expanded by adapting successful ideas from other programs\, while continuing to evolve through creativity and community engagement. 10:00-10:55 am – LECTURE The Art of Coaching – Strength and Conditioning by Jim Kramer OVERVIEW: Attendees will explore the difference between teaching an exercise and coaching an athlete. The session will challenge the idea that once technique is taught\, the job is done\, and instead emphasize the ongoing role of observation\, communication\, and correction in the weight room. Key areas of focus include: Why coaching matters in the weight room beyond simply demonstrating technique. How to identify and correct movement breakdowns over time.Adjusting loads\, exercises\, and progressions based on injury\, readiness\, and individual needs.Effective communication strategies for coaching technique\, inspired by proven coaching principles.Practical examples using Olympic lifts\, speed\, and agility drills to show how coaching\, not just instruction\, drives long-term athlete development. This session is designed to reinforce the idea that great strength and conditioning is not about showing athletes what to do once—but about consistently coaching how and why they do it every day. 11:00-11:55 am – LECTUREHow to Spark FOMO and Fun in the Weight Room by Kevin Jensen OVERVIEW: If you’re struggling to get athletes involved in your high school S&C program\, you may just be missing one important element: fun. This presentation will dive into our daily systems that will help you turn training into the most exciting part of your athletes’ day. You’ll learn quick\, practical strategies to boost engagement\, celebrate wins\, and create a culture where athletes hate to miss. You’ll also get an inside look at our seasonal events that fuel excitement all year long\, including an open invitation and key details about the Wisconsin Athletics Combine. Walk away with practical ideas you can plug into your program tomorrow! 12:00-12:45 pm – LUNCH PROVIDED More Than a Meal\, It’s a Networking Opportunity: Lunch at the NHSSCA Clinic is not just about grabbing a plate and catching up with your usual circle. It’s a chance to collaborate\, share\, and expand your professional network. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just stepping into the field of high school strength and conditioning\, this is your moment to connect with coaches who inspire\, mentor\, and challenge you to grow. If you leave this clinic without making at least one new connection\, you’ve missed an incredible opportunity to grow professionally and personally. The NHSSCA is more than an organization—it’s a #FAMILY\, built on shared knowledge\, support\, and a commitment to making each other better. So\, don’t just eat—engage\, listen\, and learn. The people sitting around you might change how you approach coaching forever. Let’s make this lunch one to remember! #NHSSCA #FAMILY #CoachingConnections #GrowYourNetwork 1:00-1:55 pm – LECTUREEvolution of Kimberly High School Strength & Conditioning Class. Kimberly Dynamic Warm-Up and Prep Work by Jason Mangin OVERVIEW: In this presentation\, Coach Mangin outlines the timeline of the Kimberly High School Strength & Conditioning class and how it has evolved into one of the most popular courses at the school. It highlights key changes made over the past 20 years\, including program growth\, curriculum adjustments\, and adaptation to a new weight room with an attached indoor training facility. The session also includes a live demonstration of Kimberly’s Dynamic Warm-Up\, showcasing the specific preparation strategies used to ready student-athletes for upper- and lower-body training while effectively priming the central nervous system for performance. 2:00-2:55 pm – LECTUREBuilding Battleships: Developing Strength & Speed in the ‘Ships’ Program by Michael Longmeyer OVERVIEW: This presentation uses the Manitowoc Public School District’s Ships identity as a framework to build a strong\, unified strength-and-speed program. Attendees will learn practical strategies for attracting students and athletes to the weight room\, creating daily engagement\, and building meaningful buy-in from coaches\, administrators\, and other athletic department stakeholders. The session will cover how to “build battleships” through intentional program design\, including gamification\, velocity-based training\, and technology\, and tracking key performance indicators. Coaches will also learn to run structured competitions that drive effort\, accountability\, and consistency\, while creating clear opportunities for athletes to improve their performance. This presentation blends culture\, systems\, and performance to show how a strength program can become a centerpiece of athletic development—where athletes don’t just train\, but fully buy into the mission. 2:55-3:00 pm – CLOSING REMARKS \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Special 'Thank You' to our partners \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	Who's coming?\n\n	51 people are attending 2026 NHSSCA Wisconsin State Clinic \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n	Tickets\n\n \n Who's coming?\n	\n	\n The numbers below include tickets for this event already in your cart.
