Athletes drift in and out of engagement\, standards feel inconsistent\, and progress becomes difficult to sustain. The most frustrating part is not knowing why athletes aren’t fully buying in. \nBuy-in is harder than ever. Attention is fragmented\, expectations are often unclear\, and motivation is frequently mistaken for structure. Without clear systems\, coaches spend more time managing behavior than developing athletes. \nThis presentation introduces The Athlete Buy-In Rate — a simple\, practical framework coaches can use to understand\, measure\, and improve athlete engagement. Instead of guessing or reacting\, coaches learn how to build buy-in through clear standards and repeatable systems that reduce daily chaos and drive consistent results. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \n\n\n\nWhy athlete buy-in is harder right now\nThe Athlete Buy-In Rate\, explained\nSystems that consistently improve engagement\nHow to run a Buy-In Audit to identify and fix breakdowns quickly\n\n\n\n10:30-11:30 am – LECTUREExploration of Annual Training for Women’s College Soccer by Sophia Cheros \nOVERVIEW: This presentation examines the annual periodization of strength training\, speed development\, conditioning\, and overall athletic performance\, providing insight into the natural ebb and flow of the year — from the off-season\, through the preseason\, and into the championship phase. \nIt will also explore how NIL and the transfer portal have influenced both physical development and team culturewithin the college game. \nOverall\, the session highlights how sustained performance and long-term success are achieved through collaboration between sports performance\, athletic training\, and the coaching staff\, ensuring athletes are developed\, supported\, and prepared at every stage of the season. \n11:45-12:15 pm – LUNCH PROVIDEDMore Than a Meal\, It’s a Networking Opportunity \nLunch at the NHSSCA Clinic is not just about grabbing a plate and catching up with your usual circle. It’s a chance to collaborate\, share\, and expand your professional network. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just stepping into the field of high school strength and conditioning\, this is your moment to connect with coaches who inspire\, mentor\, and challenge you to grow. \nIf you leave this clinic without making at least one new connection\, you’ve missed an incredible opportunity to grow professionally and personally. The NHSSCA is more than an organization—it’s a #FAMILY\, built on shared knowledge\, support\, and a commitment to making each other better. \nSo\, don’t just eat—engage\, listen\, and learn. The people sitting around you might change how you approach coaching forever. Let’s make this lunch one to remember! #NHSSCA #FAMILY #CoachingConnections #GrowYourNetwork \n12:30-1:30 pm – LECTUREIntegrating Technology: Building a High-Performance High School Training System by Vincent Martins \nOVERVIEW: Gain insight into how technology is used across all sports at Windermere Preparatory School to build a comprehensive\, high-performance training system. \nThis session will explore how tracking speed and agility\, along with bar speed\, power output\, and jump height\, can enhance athlete development and inform smarter training decisions. Attendees will see live examples of these methods in action\, as well as practical ways to apply the same concepts with or without technology. \nCoaches will leave this clinic with a clear understanding of how to implement velocity-based training (VBT) and other performance technologies immediately upon returning to their weight rooms. \n1:45-2:45 pm – LECTURELessons Learned Over 4 Decades of Coaching by Richard Lansky \nOVERVIEW: While many aspects of strength and conditioning and coaching have evolved over the past four decades\, certain principles and coaching practices have stood the test of time. \nIn this session\, Coach Lansky shares the key lessons learned throughout his career that have helped him guide athletes toward success both on the field and in life. Drawing from decades of experience\, he highlights foundational coaching values\, decision-making strategies\, and methods that remain effective regardless of trends or technology. \nAlthough applicable to athletes at all levels\, this presentation places a special emphasis on the high school student-athlete\, offering practical insights coaches can apply immediately in their programs. \n3:00-3:30 pm – ROUNDTABLE \n3:30-3:40 pm – CLOSING REMARKSSweep The Shed \nSpecial ‘Thank You’ to our partners\n \n \n \n\n	Who's coming?\n\n	23 people are attending 2026 NHSSCA Florida State Clinic \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n	Tickets\nWho's coming?\n The numbers below include tickets for this event already in your cart. The factors contributing to athleticism and the methods to build upon them yearly will be explored. Additionally\, the presentation will expand upon the initiatives at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy to provide yearly speed improvements and how athletic qualities can be enhanced in the weight room. \n10:15 am-11:00 pm  – LECTUREThe Cheat Code: Female Athlete Buy-In by Taylor Smith \nOVERVIEW: In this engaging presentation\, Coach Smith will delve into the transformative approach of holistic training for female athletes. Discover innovative strategies to boost engagement and elevate the work ethic of female athletes in your weightroom\, paving the way for their empowerment and success. \n11:15-12:00 pm – HANDS-ONRethinking Speed Training: Acceleration Over Velocity in Football by Tony Villani \nOVERVIEW: In this talk\, Tony Villani\, a renowned speed coach and founder of XPE Sports\, challenges conventional wisdom in speed training for football players. Focusing on the 40-yard dash as the gold standard for assessing speed in football\, he advocates for prioritizing acceleration over maximum velocity (Max V) training. Drawing from his extensive experience training NFL athletes\, Villani demonstrates how emphasizing acceleration can lead to significant improvements in 40-yard dash times and on-field game speed performance. He introduces the concept of “game speed\,” which emphasizes force production and efficient acceleration to reach optimal speeds quickly\, rather than striving for maximum velocity. Additionally\, he emphasizes the importance of integrating agility training into speed sessions to enhance on-field agility and change-of-direction abilities. Through testimonials from NFL players and his own training methodology\, Villani presents a compelling argument for rethinking traditional approaches to speed training in football. \n12:15-1:00 pm – LUNCH PROVIDED \n1:15-2:00 pm – LECTUREApplying Learning Science Theories to Motivate Athletes by Tim Hibbs \nOVERVIEW: Entitled “The Secret Sauce of Coaching\,” the presentation highlights the integration of Self-Determination Theory (SDT) and the concept of learning organizations into strength and conditioning programs. SDT focuses on fulfilling athletes’ intrinsic needs to enhance motivation and performance. Learning organizations create a supportive environment that fosters growth and adaptation. Together\, these approaches lead to increased athlete engagement\, improved performance\, and stronger coach-athlete relationships. \n2:15-3:00 pm – LECTURE \n3 Keys to Training Well-Rounded Athletes by Aaron Feld \nOVERVIEW: In “3 Keys to Training Well Rounded Athletes\,” Coach Aaron Feld outlines a comprehensive approach for athlete development. He emphasizes a Championship Mindset\, setting the stage for consistency and resilience. He introduces the 7 Fundamentals\, which are non-negotiable practices in the weight room and essential areas that need attention. Lastly\, Feld stresses the importance of prioritizing performance in preparation\, encapsulated in the principle of keeping the main thing the main thing. \n3:15-3:50 pm – ROUNDTABLE \n3:50-4:00 pm – CLOSING REMARKSJeremy Evans\, Director of Sports Performance at The King’s Academy \n***SIGN IN TO ACCESS MEMBERSHIP Ticket PRICING***
