He will dive into how to design a training cycle and how to implement that in your program. Attendees will be able to apply these principles to their own training programs and create micro and macrocycles across their programs. \n10:00 AM – 10:15 AM #Family Session 1 (Q&A\, Networking\, Connections) \n10:15 am-11:15 pm – DUAL: LECTURE+HANDS-ONMaking the Transition from High School to College: “Blueprint of What to Expect” by Stephanie Mock and Aaron Duvall \nOVERVIEW: Coach Mock and Coach Duvall will give a clear picture of what coaches should prepare their athletes for based on what is expected once they transition to college.  These expectations could be from an assessment standpoint\, training\, NIL\, or other various aspects of the next chapter of their athletic careers.  Coaches present can take content from the presentation to help prepare their athletes for the next level.   \n11:15 AM – 11:30 AM #Family Session 2 (Q&A\, Networking\, Connections) \n11:30 am-12:30 pm – DUAL: LECTURE+HANDS-ONGame Speed and Small-Sided Games by Mark Hoover. \nOVERVIEW: It’s impossible to train athletes for optimal performance without looking at the unlimited variables they will be asked to overcome. Each one has a unique problem to solve. While we can’t possibly predict nor train for every variable on the field or court\, we can provide a wide range of possible movement problems and give the athlete’s brain a chance to practice those solutions. Using multiple ways to change direction\, in the most optimal manner combined with an ever-increasing complexity of games will prepare athletes for optimal movement solutions. \n12:30-1:15 pm – LUNCH PROVIDED \n1:15-2:15 pm – DUAL: LECTURE+HANDS-ONTechnology Dictates Demands by John Martin \nOVERVIEW: This presentation will look at the impact of technology in the weight room and how it can impact training demands. Coach Martin will discuss how new technology\, such as NHSSCA sponsors OUTPUT to utilize Velocity Based Training (VBT) while monitoring & optimizing athletic success. Attendees will then be able to work hands-on with these sensors to learn how they work and how they could be implemented into a high school Strength and Conditioning program. \n2:15 PM – 2:30 PM #Family Session 3 (Q&A\, Networking\, Connections) \n2:30-3:30 pm – DUAL: LECTURE+HANDS-ONDiversity and Culture in S&C by John Estock \nOVERVIEW: This presentation will explore the concepts of Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion and how they fit within the community and culture-building framework. Even before a training session begins\, an athlete’s motivation and buy-in are engaged through the environment they are walking into. Building empathy and understanding are a pathway to trust\, which is a crucial component of building relationships. Positive and healthy relationships are the foundation of a strong culture. This lecture will dive into those principles and how they apply to today’s Strength and Conditioning environment. \n3:30-3:45 pm – CLOSING REMARKSJohn Estok\, Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at William Penn Charter School \n***SIGN IN TO ACCESS MEMBERSHIP Ticket PRICING***
