Unilateral Training for the High School Athlete by Cody Mahler

OVERVIEW: Coach Mahler comes to us from Perry High School and is known for his effective approach to single-leg strength, power, and mobility. This presentation will address progressions and variations of upper and lower body unilateral movements that Coach Mahler uses at Perry High School in Georgia. As a state champion in football this year, his approach to holistic training has paid dividends with his teams in both the health of his athletes and performance in sport.

Nutrition Needs and Considerations for High School Student Athletes by Olivia McGann

OVERVIEW: Coach McGann is the Lead Dietitian for all Olympic Sports and Georgia Tech. She brings experience in nutrition for sports performance and will discuss the needs of high school athletes when it comes to fueling to perform their best. She will talk about the realities of High School and how these young adult athletes can navigate diet to be their best at the sport they play and help them with lifetime nutritional habits.

Speed Development in the Weight Room by Robbie Cole

OVERVIEW: Coach Cole, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Athletic Director from Travelers Rest High School outside of Greenville, South Carolina, will come to Georgia to talk about training speed for performance in a weight room. He will present how he develops “Game Speed” as part of your team’s daily strength and conditioning sessions year-round to create separation on the field or court. His experience and position as Assistant AD ensures that all his athletes get the best coaching possible.

Training The Paladin Way by Andre Bernardi

OVERVIEW: Coach Bernardi, from Furman University, will headline and finish our Georgia State Clinic by discussing how The programs and trains the Furman University Athletes. He is also the Associate Head Football Coach, so he has his hands on many facets of Sports Performance with his athletes. Coach Bernardi comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, and Speed as it relates to College and High School Athletes.
