1:00-2:15 pm – DUAL LECTURE+HANDS-ON
Injury Resilience by Alberto Johnson & Rodney Savig
OVERVIEW: Rodney will address traditional strength and conditioning through the lens of an Athletic Trainer, with a focus on building injury resilience. This presentation will feature exercises that can be easily implemented into your current program. Rodney brings extensive experience working alongside strength and conditioning coaches to help develop dynamic, well-rounded programs. He will also provide exercises and practical suggestions for the warm-up, workout, and cool-down, as well as highlight exercises that could place your athletes at risk of injury.
2:30-3:45 pm – ROUNDTABLE: LECTURE+HANDS-ON
Where Are They Going?: Tips for Keeping Kids Training within their High School Program by Zack Nauert
OVERVIEW: This session will feature a roundtable discussion with high school coaches and private sector representatives, focused on a challenge many programs face—athletes training outside the school setting.
Participants will engage in a collaborative conversation around:
- Keeping athletes connected to your high school program
- Supporting those who train elsewhere
- Building productive relationships with private sector coaches
This is an interactive, question-driven session designed to share practical approaches, exchange perspectives, and learn from others navigating the same landscape.
