The second episode of the NHSSCA Podcast is out! This episode was recorded live on site at the 2023 National Convention at Homewood-Flosmoor High School last month.
While there, I was able to interview the primary guest featured in this month’s episode, Mike Crissinger. Mike is Strength and Conditioning Coach at Perry High School in Ohio, and the Ohio State Director for the NHSSCA. He is the recipient of 2023 NHSSCA Coach of the Year Award. Mike talked about his work at Perry High School, his training philosophy, his role within the organization, and more. After my interview with Coach Crissinger, I was able to sit down with other attendees and discuss their experiences at NATCON.
This podcast is something I look forward to doing at NATCON every year, so look for my booth at NATCON 2024, taking place next June at Rock Hill High School in Frisco, Texas.
I look forward to releasing a new episode each month, in which I sit down with high school strength coaches to cover all sorts of topics. Just as the NHSSCA is a members-driven organization, this is a members-driven podcast. I want to provide listeners with guests and content that they are interested in. So if there is a coach you would like to featured, or a specific topic you want to hear discussed, reach out and let me know!
If you are interested in being a guest on the podcast, let me know! You can reach me on twitter @coachmcghgy, IG @coachmuhgahkey, or email coachmcghghy@outlook.com. Thanks for listening!
