Year-Round Training for High School Football by Nic Giblin

OVERVIEW: Nic will delve into a comprehensive and detailed overview of his multifaceted training methodology in the upcoming presentation. The audience can anticipate thoroughly exploring various components, each crucial in elevating athletic performance. Here’s an expanded breakdown of what Nic will cover:

Speed Development: Nic will share insights into his approach to speed training. This may include techniques, drills, and methodologies to enhance an athlete’s speed, agility, and overall quickness. The emphasis will likely be on targeted exercises designed to optimize the biomechanics of sprinting and accelerate an athlete’s on-field or on-court performance.

Collision Preparation: Training for collisions is critical to many sports, particularly contact sports. Nic will shed light on how he prepares athletes for the physical demands of collisions, encompassing strength training, injury prevention strategies, and techniques to improve resilience during high-impact scenarios.

Plyometrics: Plyometric exercises involve rapid contraction and extension of muscles, contributing to explosive power.

MLB Combine Testing & Training by Matt Krause

OVERVIEW: Matthew Krause is the former Director of Strength and Conditioning for the New York Yankees Major League Baseball (MLB) organization. He came to the Yankees after serving 11 seasons in the Cincinnati Reds MLB organization. Prior to joining the Reds, Krause spent three years in the Pittsburgh Pirates MLB system, where he served as the Strength Coach at Class-A Hickory (2000) and then as the Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator (2001 – 2002). Krause earned his Master’s degree in Physical Education and Wellness from Central Florida University. He is a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction (RSCC*D) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® with Distinction (CSCS,*D) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Certified Athletic Trainer. Krause is a former member of the United States Marine Corps.
