The National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA) is proud to introduce Haden Costello as our new Director of Partner Experience & Engagement. In this pivotal role, Haden will lead efforts to enhance communication, strengthen collaboration, and elevate the overall experience for our valued partners.
Our mission has always been to connect and celebrate the most dedicated high school strength coaches across the country. Through Haden’s leadership, we’re continuing to build bridges between coaches, partners, and the greater NHSSCA high school coaching community—ensuring that the innovations, tools, and support provided by our partners reach every corner of the strength and conditioning profession.
A Proven Leader in the Field
Haden brings a wealth of experience and passion to this position. With over nine years at PLAE, where she rose to Director of Operations, Haden helped foster partnerships, manage logistics, and execute major national initiatives. Her time as a high school math teacher and multi-sport coach gives her a unique understanding of the needs, challenges, and culture within schools.
Most recently, Haden took time to focus on her most rewarding role yet — being a mom — before returning to the field with the NHSSCA to strengthen partnerships that move our mission forward.
As a former athlete, Haden’s background includes varsity-level softball, basketball, and track, earning regional and state recognition in shot put. Her coaching accomplishments are equally impressive—leading the North Murray High School Archery Team to Region, State, National, and World Championships, while also coaching softball and track & field.
A Family Rooted in Sports and Service
Outside of work, Haden lives and breathes the active family life she helps promote. She and her husband, Matt, have been married nine years and are raising two young athletes: Charlee (7) and Miles (4). Whether coaching her daughter’s softball team, attending gymnastics, or cheering at youth baseball games, Haden’s passion for youth development and community engagement shines through in all she does.

Enhancing Partner Collaboration and Communication
In her new role, Haden will work closely with NHSSCA partners to ensure they receive the highest level of support and visibility. From coordinating national campaigns to organizing partner showcases and digital engagement opportunities, she will serve as the central point of connection for all partner communications.
Her mission is simple: to create an exceptional, seamless experience for every NHSSCA partner while helping them amplify their reach and impact across the high school strength and conditioning community.
Ongoing Coordination and Support
Mike Bewley, Administrative Services, will continue to work in close coordination with Haden, assisting with partner communications and ensuring that all NHSSCA email outreach, website updates, and partner visibility efforts remain timely and accurate.
This includes maintaining the Virtual Exhibit Hall, NHSSCA Event pages, and other key partner-facing platforms—so that NHSSCA partners are consistently showcased as the leaders they are in supporting coaches, athletes, and the profession at large.
